A Midsummer Night's Dream was a production with Bachelor of Theatre students from CQUniversity (Mackay) at the Central Queensland Conservatorium of Music.

SYNOPSIS

On a Midsummer’s night, young lovers Hermia and Lysander escape the oppressive rules of the city in search of freedom through the forest. Following after them is Demetrius, who loves Hermia, and Helena, who is in love with Demetrius. Meanwhile, Nick Bottom and a crew of tradies have gathered to rehearse a play to be performed at the upcoming royal wedding.

But they’re not alone in the woods. The King and Queen of the Fairies are at war. The fairies are let loose, and Puck is making sure that the course of true love is anything but smooth.

This is a night that none of them will forget... if they ever figure out what actually happened. One thing is for certain - this is no fairytale.
